Dark circles: Home remedies for dark circles and puffy eyes

A lot of people these days put up with dark circles under their eyes or puffy eye.
It is important to understand that the skin around your eyes is the thinnest skin on your entire body, and as such is the most sensitive to change. From the flow of fluids to the tugging of regular makeup application, it's susceptible to a lot more damage than the rest of your body. The two major problems we see with our eyes are puffiness and dark circles.


* Sleeping on your side or your stomach may cause fluids to pool in your eyes (if this is the case, sleeping on your right will result in more puffiness in that eye). It's not easy to change, but if this is your problem, try sleeping on your back.

* Cold or sinus infection and seasonal allergies.

* Eating a salty dinner

* Tiredness

* Lack of sleep

* Genetics

Tea Bags
Caffeinated tea, which contains natural tannins, is a mild diuretic and long-used by grandmothers and runway models for reducing eye puffiness. Soak two tea bags in warm water, and then chill the bags for a few minutes in the refrigerator. Place one tea bag on each eye for five minutes, and your eyes will feel fresh.

For many people, tiredness causes dark circles under the eyes and that can add years to their appearance. If you can’t catch up on your rest, place slices of ripe avocado under each eye, or try applying a paste of ground almonds and milk to lighten the dark shadows.

When your eyes are red and puffy, cut a couple slices of cold cucumber, lie down, and put a slice over each eye for 30 minutes. Once you’re up, your eyes will be brighter and your body refreshed.
